Introduction to Personality Dimensions Workshops (Fundraiser)

This month Mentedge Consulting is proud to host discounted Virtual Introduction to Personality Dimensions Workshops as a fundraiser for the Rainbow Coalition of Waterloo Region (RCWR). These workshops are open to grassroots and not-for-profit organizations - along with their volunteers, supporters, and allies - supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Waterloo Region.

Workshop Content

Personality Dimensions® is based on leading-edge research into human motivation and behaviour and helps to explain what motivates behaviour in people with different personalities or temperaments. It is a Canadian program that provides an easily understood methodology for building self-awareness, self-esteem and effective communication strategies. Personality Dimensions® emphasizes the self-discovery process and uses cards and group activities to engage the participant and reinforce learning. During this interactive workshop, the facilitator guides participants through the Personality Dimensions® assessment tool and explores the core needs and values associated with their individual temperaments. Participants will also engage with others to explore how different temperaments can contribute to interpersonal dynamics.

This workshop is does not contain specific 2SLGBTQ+ content.

Workshop Details:

  • Group Session: Saturday, December 21st, 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

    • Requires at least 14 participants (max 22)

    • Cost: $60.00 per participant ($20 to RCWR, $20 to the RCWR Amethyst Community Fund)

  • 1-on-1 Sessions: December 23rd - 31st

    • Duration: 1.5 hours each

    • Scheduling os sessions contingent upon the facilitator and participant finding a mutually agreeable time for the session.

    • Cost: $90.00 per participant ($30 to RCWR, $30 to the RCWR Amethyst Community Fund)

He has over two decades of experience supporting individual and collective capacity building in Waterloo Region’s 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Jeremy has been facilitating Personality Dimensions® sessions for over a decade, supporting individuals and organizations with team building, leadership development, and conflict management. Jeremy also offers multi-days sessions exploring interpersonal conflict using Personality Dimensions® through Conrad Grebel University College’s Conflict Management Certificate Program.

Following the success of the one day workshop "Exploring Conflict with Personality Dimensions ®", Mentedge Consulting is excited to once again partner with Conrad Grebel University College to offer this expanded two-day workshop exploring personality and temperament (using the tool Personality Dimensions ®) highlighting how an individual's natural inclinations can influence their approach to managing conflict.

In Fall 2020, these workshops will be offered online over four, half-day sessions.

Workshop Description

One of the greatest challenges when mediating conflicts is helping parties to focus on the underlying needs, values and beliefs that form the foundation of the positions they have taken. Focusing on these underlying core issues can be a key step in identifying common ground for moving forward.

Day Two of the workshop will focus on the application of the concepts learned during Day One to practical conflict management work. After participants engage in an activity designed to review the concepts from Day One, they will be led through a series of facilitated discussions to identify how an exploration of Personality Dimensions® may add additional insight into:

  • Participants’ understanding of basic conflict management principles

  • How meetings, conflict coaching, and mediation sessions could be designed to better accommodate a diverse range of temperaments.

Note: Individuals who have completed the Exploring Conflict Through Personality Dmensions ® workshop will have covered the material in Day One of the workshop. Provided they remember the results of their Personality Dimensions®assessment and there is space available, they may be eligible to join the workshop on Day Two.
