Following the success of the one day workshop "Exploring Conflict with Personality Dimensions ®", Mentedge Consulting is excited to once again partner with Conrad Grebel University College to offer this expanded two-day workshop exploring personality and temperament (using the tool Personality Dimensions ®) highlighting how an individuals's natural inclinations can influence their approach to managing conflict.
Workshop Description
One of the greatest challenges when mediating conflicts is helping parties to focus on the underlying needs, values and beliefs that form the foundation of the positions they have taken. Focusing on these underlying core issues can be a key step in identifying common ground for moving forward.
Day One of the workshop provides tools to determine your own temperament, explore the core needs and values associated with your temperament, and an opportunity to engage with others to explore how different temperaments can contribute to interpersonal conflict. After Day One, individuals will be able to:
Identify their personal styles and how they (and others) respond to conflict
Appreciate the diverse ways individuals can experience and manage conflict
Examine barriers to conflict resolution
Learn to adapt to manage conflict in less than ideal situations
Recognize the different ways people act and react when experiencing conflict.
Note: Individuals who have completed the Exploring Conflict Through Personality Dmensions ® workshop will have covered the material in Day One of the workshop. Provided they remember the results of their Personality Dimensions®assessment and there is space available, they may be eligible to join the workshop on Day Two.
This workshop is offered in partnership with Conrad Grebel University College as part of their Certificate in Conflict Management and Medication program. Click on the button below for information on how to register.
